Important: When using a blog category to set up a custom audience you need to set your WordPress permalinks to the following. If you have a site set up with a lot of traffic changing this changes all of your old blog URLs. I recommend only setting this for newer sites or sites with very few blogs.
As in the video you can find the category URL which might look something like this:
http://heatherporter.com/category/online-marketing-tips/
One of my blog posts in that category has this URL: http://heatherporter.com/online-marketing-tips/awesome-online/
Note that the word category no longer exists. When placing Facebook ads for my topic online marketing tips I would then use this URL to create the custom audience http://heatherporter.com/online-marketing-tips/
If you have a blog that has been around for a while and don’t want to change your link structure then do this…
You can put a keyword in the URL space when building a custom audience. However, you need to make sure all of your blog posts actually have that word in the URL for them to be targeted this way.
As always, if you have questions just ask…
